Program Manager - Youth & Teen Residential

Nexus-Mille Lacs is excited to be adding a Program Manager to our youth & teen residential team!

At this location, we offer trauma-informed, family-centered, nationally recognized treatment for boys, ages 10-19, with significant emotional, behavioral and mental health concerns, problematic sexual behaviors, and cognitive delays.  

Pay/Schedule:

Starting at $68,000-$72,000 a year! Full-time weekdays with occasional evenings and weekends

Position Summary: Our Residential Program Manager supervises the daily operations of residential programming, providing leadership, direction and oversight to Milieu Supervisors and other staff. This role provides communication, planning, collaboration, and operational effectiveness that support client treatment services.

Primary responsibilities:

Treatment Programming Development & Maintenance

Ensures sufficient staff to client ratios  Oversees the planning and scheduling of client daily treatment services, family contact and visits, special events and community involvement Identifies, and analyzes current or potential program risk factors Collaborates with clinical leadership in evaluating long-term changes that support the therapeutic treatment process Works with appropriate staff to communicate care changes to the family and other treatment team members Ensures staff have the ability to work effectively with families and leverage strengths-based trauma informed practices

Program Operations

Participates in risk management, risk mitigation, and quality improvement initiatives Assists with the development of policies and procedures that support the successful functioning of the program

Program Leadership & Staff Training & Development

Collaborates with program leaders and talent acquisition team to assess, interview, and select applicants for hire Ensures adequate floor coverage is provided at all times per licensing guidelines and internal policies Ensures consistent and confidential maintenance of client records Ensures client incidents are reported to county representatives as appropriate Supervises and participates in the formal process of onboarding, orienting, mentoring, training and developing staff within Nexus Leads, monitors, and facilitates the development of staff knowledge and skills; coaches and develops staff in areas of client issues, client treatment plans, family goals, trauma triggers, direct services provisioning, behavior management techniques, therapeutic interventions, compliance, licensing, COA standards and client case files. Provides staff with continuous performance feedback by providing formal performance evaluations  Participates in on-call supervisory assistance for the program as a member of the leadership team Participates in, and/or facilitates staff, program, clinical and team meetings

Program Collaboration & Monitoring

Leads from the front by demonstrating the skills, professionalism and interventions of the program’s treatment philosophy and goals Ensures confidentiality regarding client and family issues, background, and treatment Demonstrates compassion and understanding for feelings, opinions, and experiences of others Models and engages in therapeutic interventions with clients within training parameters while maintaining appropriate boundaries Performs First Aid/CPR procedures and responds to emergency situations according to established protocols Monitors and ensures compliance with emotional and physical safety, health codes, and client and staff procedures; regularly conducts inspections of program areas and reviews the client medication records and responds to and resolves health and safety concerns within a reasonable time frame

Must Have:

High school diploma or GED required Minimum of 5 years of related experience in a residential treatment facility or similar Minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience

Must be 21 years of age or above

Valid driver’s license required. Must meet state regulating agency and Home Office driving requirements

Nice to Have

Associate degree or bachelor’s degree preferred
