Program Monitor
The Department of Developmental Services (DDS) is seeking a dedicated and qualified Compliance Officer III candidate who will function as the Program Monitor. The Compliance Officer III will work under the direction of the Area Director or designee. The position is an integral member of the Area Office Supervisory Team and is involved in supervisory-level planning and activity. The incumbent will oversee and provide direction to vendor agencies in the design, implementation, and evaluation of contracted residential, individual, day/employment and family support respite programs which support diverse communities. The incumbent will also be responsible for investigatory and compliance activities. *_Duties and Responsibilities (these duties are a general summary and not all inclusive):_* * Act as liaison between Area Office and contracted provider agencies. * Assess trends and patterns which emerge from monitoring activities and report findings to Area Director or Designee. * Respond to inquiries regarding DDS policies and regulatory requirements. * Work within a team process in collaboration with all levels of area office staff to ensure programs and services are responsive to changing individual needs. * Monitor and evaluate all contract and state operated services for compliance with applicable programmatic and regulatory standards, Office of Quality Assurance and Investigation findings. * Maintain ongoing records of agency performance, participates in all supervisory and programmatic planning meetings with agencies. * Keep the investigation database (Investigative Processing System) up to date and comply with regulatory timelines. * Participate in clinical and team meetings as needed. * Monitor Home and Community Service Information System (HCSIS). * Conduct administrative reviews and develops action plans with agencies and work with community members to review all investigation results. *_Preferred Qualifications:_* * Knowledge of DPPC and DDS investigation systems. * Knowledge of resources for self-advocacy for individuals with developmental disabilities. * Ability to apply conflict resolution skills. * Knowledge of compliance activiites related to the oversight of DDS contracted provider agencies. *_Please Note: _* This position is located in the South Valley Area Office in Southbridge, MA *_Schedule_*: Monday through Friday 9:00 AM to 5:30PM. *_Days off_*: Saturday and Sunday. Interested applicants should be flexible in the work schedule as there may be occasional nights and weekend meetings with individuals, guardians, families and other agencies.
