Summary of Work Activities and Responsibilities:
The Program Officer for Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) III provides program management support by assisting with research, event management, documentation, funding sourcing, and communication coordination for SDGs and other initiatives at AIS.
The position supports mainstreaming the UN Sustainable Development Goals as one of the key strategic thrusts of the AIS, and the larger University, through the priority area of integral ecology and the Magis Aspirations on becoming a Laudato Si’ University.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
I. Program Management Support
Keeps abreast of local and international trends, standards, and requirements related to organizational sustainability
Supports the development and promotion of projects and policies which operationalize Organizational Stability (OS), and evaluation of its effectiveness
Designs informational and educational communication campaigns and reading materials such as manuals, guides, journals, tool kits, slide decks and articles focused on OS for various audiences and stakeholders, whenever necessary
Updates the content of the social media platforms and AIS website in coordination with the University Marketing and Communications Office and the Digital Information and Technology Services cluster, specifically managing sections relevant to the OS program
Supports the establishment, implementation and evaluation of the strategic direction and initiatives of the OS Program
Conducts research activities related to OS including gathering information, analyzing data, and synthesizing findings to help develop program concepts, decisions, and strategies
Documents program initiatives and offers insights to the Program Head, aiding in the completion of program reports and performance evaluations
Assists the Project Head in tasks relating to research, capacity-building, products/services creation, logistical needs, training, and managing the OS Program
Creates sustainability products and services and develops training content catering to the needs of internal and external stakeholders

Plans and facilitates OS capacity-building activities—talks, workshops, conferences, and meetings—for stakeholders across sectors (academe, private, government).
Coordinates and manages logistical needs for OS program events with University offices and external suppliers (e.g., caterers).
II. Stakeholder Engagements and Partnerships Support
Prepares necessary reports, outgoing letters, and other communication to all internal and external stakeholders for review by the Program Head
Compiles year-end accomplishment reports for the networks and working groups supported by the program
III. Program Management Support
Assists the Program Head with monitoring and disbursing funding and in exploring other financial resources as per program requirements and priorities
Prepares reports regarding budget adherence and resource utilization against established plans and targets
Identifies opportunities for cost-saving measures and explores alternative sources of funding, grants, and resource support to enhance program sustainability and impact
Implements and maintains program systems, including work procedures, work schedules, records and databases, employee reports, and filing systems
IV. Performs other duties as may be assigned by the immediate supervisor, or any authorized representative
