Roles & Responsibilities
The Program Buyer is taking over the responsibility to manage and coordinate any kind of
project related Electronics Purchasing activities based on and in accordance with the
project requirements and milestones within one or various Product Centers.
For entirely globalized Programs there is a Program Manager Purchasing with global lead,
who coordinates and controls purchasing activities worldwide In this case the Program
Manager Purchasing has the responsibly to track and if necessary, get actively involved in
projects on a global scale.FOCUS
Close collaboration with Commodity Buyer during TtM-phase to meet project cost, time and quality targets
Supplier Management for prototypes and C-Samples in TtM Phase
Program Purchasing with functional global lead for global projects
Is the one point of contact to the project team for all purchasing relevant topics
within Ttm and OtD phase
Others assigned tasks Core Targets:
Target Costing, DtC, on-time sourcing and qualification of purchase parts,
Single point of contact for purchasing belongings to the respective core team, early
involvement in projects together with Advanced Engineering.
Core Tasks:
Core Team Member Product Center
Ensure on-time availability of complete inquiry documents, on-time nomination of
suppliers in alignment with Strategic Purchasing
Management of prototypes and order C-samples (C-Sample process)
Responsible of Material Cost of Product Center
Optimization of Product (DtC)
Planning and performing Technology Workshops with dedicated Product CenterMaterial Group Strategy
Contract Management
Material Cost Planning
RfQ & Awarding
Negotiation / Nomination
Cost Optimization
Supplier Evaluation
Strategic Supplier Development
Price Negotiation and Bundling
Supplier Insolvency Management
