Description:This position is for a Program Quality Engineer within the Undersea Warfare market segment (USW), supporting the MK48 Production Programs.
This individual will be responsible for facilitating Quality Program Team(s) (QPT). The QPT is led by Program Quality and consists of a lead from Product Quality, Engineering Quality, Supplier Quality, and operating excellence. The selected candidate will lead this team through proposal efforts, program startup, and program execution. They will also be the lead Quality interface to the Program Management Team, Subcontract Management Team, and Customer Team.
Key responsibilities include:
· Overall responsibility for implementation and execution of the quality requirements on your assigned program(s)
· Key interface for Quality with customer, including DCMA.
· Perform Contract Review to identify contract quality requirements and generating and ensuring implementation of a Quality Assurance Plan (QAP) on the program consistent with those requirements.
· Partner with Program Management and Integrated Program Team (IPT) to provide proactive issue identification, causal analysis, mitigation, and preventive action.
· Identify risks and proactively work with the program team to document risks and help to develop and ensure mitigation plans are in place.
· Represent the Quality functional organization at program reviews, program status meetings, etc.
· Establish and maintain Quality metrics that are utilized by the program team to monitor performance.
· Maintain and facilitate the Corrective Action Board (CAB) and Material Review Board (MRB).
· Drive root cause analysis, and corrective & preventive actions.
· Communicate and escalate quality, customer satisfaction and program performance issues to the program team, functional / program managers and business leaders as necessary for timely resolution.
· Responsible for helping to improve CPAR scores for the Quality scope.
· Ensure realistic QA budgets and staffing are established for the Quality Program Team and cost commitments are met. Perform Cost Account Management (CAM) duties for assigned cost accounts.
· Plan and oversee program audits.
US Citizenship is required.
Basic Qualifications:
- Minimum 4 yr Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 10 years of professional experience; or 8 years of professional experience with a related Masters degree. Considered an emerging authority.
- Quality engineering / quality management experience.
- Experience with program start up process, First Article Inspections, flowdown of Quality requirements
- Understanding of Hardware Quality processes.
- Understanding of Supplier Quality processes.
- Production, Manufacturing, Process Engineering experience.
- Experience leading projects or teams.
- Candidate must be able to obtain a DoD Secret Security Clearance. This requires US Citizenship.

Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Washington or Washington DC is $100,400 - $192,500 . Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
