Joining our team, turning visionary ideas into reality, will shape your future—and the future of your community. Your Opportunity Stantec is seeking a Program Scheduler to join our team. The primary responsibility of the Program Scheduler is to manage and support program and project teams by producing and reporting cost-loaded schedules in Primavera P6 format. This role involves coordinating with Program Team members, consultants, contractors, and third parties, ensuing projects are completed safely, on time and within budget. Your Key Responsibilities- Develop and maintain the Program Schedule in Primavera P6, including fully integrated Baseline schedules in accordance with the program team and program requirements. * Maintain the program schedule in collaboration with project managers, construction managers, and inputs from engineering, procurement, contractors, and operations, providing technical support to ensure schedules are maintained to the program team's satisfaction. * Validate and analyze construction methodologies, resource and cost loading, activity durations, schedule logic, float allocation, critical path identification, and contractor schedules to ensure they capture contract milestones, predict completion dates, and provide an accurate record of project progress. * Prepare and ensure all program reports, both internally and externally, are completed on time, accurate, and consistent, including consolidated progress reports with bar charts, S-curves, and manpower histograms. * Correlate schedule, cost, and risk assessments through integrated solutions to influence critical path analysis, provide robust plans for decision-making, and periodically report the project management status of critical activities and schedule risks. * Participate in the development of recovery plans and contingency planning, conduct schedule compression techniques, and support monitoring of contract actual progress versus planned progress and key performance indicators. Provide exception reporting and recommend actions. * Provide support on the development of program cost expenditure forecast curves (cash flow) and perform schedule risk analysis periodically or as required. * Control and monitor any variations or changes to the program scope of work and perform schedule analysis for contractor requests for adjustments and claims to determine the impact on the schedule. * Attend program team and contractor schedule meetings. Your Capabilities and Credentials- Expertise in project planning across large, complex, multi-disciplinary projects, with a solid understanding of program management principles. * Relevant experience with environmental remediation programs (preferred), water and/or utility programs. * Advanced skills with Primavera P6. * Excellent time management skills. * Proactive, detail-oriented, and knowledgeable in scheduling techniques. * Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to develop relationships with clients, program team, contractors, subcontractors, and staff at all levels. Education and Experience- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Engineering, Construction Management, Finance, Business, or related field. * Minimum 5 years of work experience in a similar position. * Project Management Professional (PMP) or Project Management Institute – Scheduling Professional (PMI-SP) is highly desired. Typical office environment working with computers and remaining sedentary for long periods of time. Field work may include exposure to the elements including inclement weather. Please note, the final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location.
