The Program Supplier Quality Engineer (PSQE) will perform supplier facing quality engineering, in support of assigned Program(s). The PSQE will work across Hardware Management Teams, Supply Chain, Operations and Engineering activities to analyze, control, and improve product quality. 

What you will do:  

Be the primary point of contact for supplier quality strategy and related issues for their assigned program(s)Analyze product performance using statistical methods to understand root cause and identify significant variances to the technical data packagesPerform analyses of nonconformities to identify root cause, establish effective containment and elimination plans, and develop/monitor corrective actionsAssure clear identification, physical control and competent disposition of nonconformitiesInterpreting purchase order quality notes and quality requirements to ensure subcontractor/supplier understandingEnsuring flow down of Product requirements both internally and to sub-tier suppliers and ensuring compliance with quality requirementsAssessing subcontractor/supplier quality capabilities throughout the program life cycle to achieve full program objectivesFacilitate corrective actions, closed loop process controls and continuous improvement methods to improve product/process predictability and capabilityParticipate in Program Reviews, Supplier Reviews, and Technical Interchange MeetingsParticipate in supplier design reviews, process change reviews, qualification test reviews, supplier audits as well as Test Equipment verification and validationAssign quality requirements to purchased parts based upon internal command media and program requirements.Participate in supplier audits.Report their program(s) supplier quality monthly.Issue and oversee SCARs (Supplier Corrective Action Requests).Travel expected < 30%.

Qualifications you must have:

Typically requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Quality Assurance or Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math (STEM) or other relatedMinimum of eight () years of related Quality Engineering, manufacturing or related engineering experienceExperience in Root Cause Analysis and Corrective Action (RCCA)Experience with Lean/Six Sigma or other methodologies and tools for continuous improvementPrevious experience communicating technical requirements to supplier base to optimize product qualityExperience with Statistical Process Control methods (SPC), techniques, implementation, and review of data to drive process improvementThe ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

The salary range for this role is 96,000 USD - 200,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
