Job Summary:
The Program Supplier Quality Engineer (PSQE) is the primary quality interface between Raytheon programs and Field Engineers, Commodity Leads, and our supply base. The PSQE provides both communication of requirements and performance feedback to the supplier as well as being a conduit for Quality information across other Raytheon teams. This role involves significant onsite support for the execution of Supplier Assessments, First Article Inspection verification, Source Inspection, problem resolution, and continuous improvement activities at supplier locations. This position is a key player in the management of Supplier performance and planning for supplier engagements to represent Raytheon’s Vision, Values, Strategy, and Goals in the supply base.
This is a remote position and will manage and develop Raytheon’s suppliers both domestic and international.
Responsibilities to Anticipate:
Drive continuous product / process improvements in the supply base by identifying supplier performance issues and driving solutions through root cause corrective actions (RCCA), and statistical / analytical improvement tools such as Statistical Process Control (SPC), Six Sigma and Lean MethodologiesEnsure flow down of requirements internally and to sub-tier suppliers through PO requirements, quality notes, and statement of work (SOW)Apply Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) processes related to supplier performance and implement necessary engagements to support APQPAssess and develop supplier quality capabilities throughout the product lifecycleIdentify and correct systemic performance issuesImplement effective Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA), including FRACAS investigations and Supplier Corrective Action Requests (SCAR)Identify risk in the supply base and develop a robust plan for engagementCommunicate effectively to Raytheon leadership and customers through business reviews and status meetingsCommunicate and interpret technical requirements as the liaison between the supply base and Engineering for drawing changes, and disposition of nonconformancesPerform Preliminary Review (PR) of nonconforming hardware in the supply base to contain and disposition nonconformances at suppliers, including Supplier Authorization to Ship/Scrap (SATSS)Contribute in the development of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure supplier quality performanceSupport supplier maintenance efforts such as audits, special process compliance, and certification managementWhat You Will Learn:
Managing a complex supplier base in variety of fields (Electrical, Mechanical, energetic, etc.)Expanding on APQP knowledge and applied experienceDeveloping key relationships with value streams, our customers, and supply baseQualifications you must have:
Typically requires a Bachelor of Science degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math (STEM) or other related technical field of studyMinimum 8 years of experience in Quality engineering, Manufacturing, or related engineering discipline, interpreting schematic drawings and hardware inspection techniquesExperience working with one or more of the following aerospace or commercial equivalent preventative tools – Statistical Process Control (SPC), Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA), Quality Function Deployment (QFD), Production Part Approval Process (PPAP), Lean Manufacturing, Control Plans, other process improvement toolsWorking experience conducting root cause analysis and implementing corrective actionsWorking experience with one or more of the following standards: ISO 9001, AS9100, AS9145, or Missile Defense Agency (MDA) Assurance Provisions, and First Article Inspection (FAI) and the AS9102 standardThe ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.Qualifications we prefer:
Six Sigma, Lean, and/or American Society for Quality (ASQ) Certification (CQE, CQM/OE, CSQE, CQA, CRE, etc.)Proven successes in building and maintaining relationships with multiple suppliers/ customers.Experience in DoD product and process oversight including requirements, build, integration, test, and delivery.Experience in engineering, development, project planning, and collaborating remotely.General knowledge of industry technical standards (such as American National Standards Institute (ANSI), J-STD-001, Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI), American Society for Testing of Materials (ASTM), etc.)Strong technical engineer with excellent communication skills that exhibits presence and influence and self-managed technical contributor.What we offer

The salary range for this role is 96,000 USD - 200,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
