As the Program Director of Transformation in the Honeywell Aerospace Technologies (AT) Engines & Power Systems (E&PS) Program Management Operating System (PMOS) team you will lead and manage productivity initiatives of significant size and complexity to achieve demonstrated improvements in development program schedule execution with reduced cost. Initiatives will focus on continuous enhancement of the Agile program management framework across the E&PS development programs to include formalization of the role of Agile subject matter experts in E&PS, improving the tool sets and processes to achieve greater efficiency, improving the metrics that measure the efficacy of the Agile framework and leveraging the abundant data resulting from the Agile system for continuous process improvement. Additional focus will include assisting E&PS PMOS leadership team in the on-going professional development strategies that enhance the skill sets of the program management team and act as an E&PS focal to the centralized AT PMO organization supporting their initiative to review and refresh the program management training curriculums. This leader will also participate (in partnership with E&PS Engineering and ISC) identification of systemic issues with corrective actions to remediate supply constraints affecting on-time program execution. Data available from an E&PS Development Hardware Scorecard and from the Agile JIRA records are sources to identify systemic issues. Across these, this leader will update strategies, constructing plans of execution, lead the organization in change management, measure the results and report progress to the Executive Leadership Team.
Key Responsibilities Collaborate closely with the E&PS executive leadership team to refine the continued Agile transformation strategy and deployment into the E&PS organization along with the supporting functional teams Lead and mentor the Agile Subject Matter Experts (SME) Influence the council of AT PMO, E&PS SMEs, and Sales Channels to advance the Agile framework enabling E&PS development program success and one that provides value to the broader AT business. Drive continuous improvement across the departments by leading appropriately sized Kaizen events, fostering a culture of process innovation in an Agile environment Establish key performance indicators (KPI) to monitor progress, analyze trends and provide regular reports to leadership on the effectiveness of improvement initiatives with impact on productivity savings Coordinate the quarterly Agile Big Room Planning (BRP) events Lead the regularly scheduled tier 2 Blocker Reviews Solicit E&PS organizational feedback and evaluate the Voice of the Employee (VoE) input to refine the Agile framework towards the objective to improve VoE scores. Provide guidance, training and coaching to development program execution teams in the framework of Agile. Lead the advancement of the Development Hardware Scorecard in partnership with E&PS Engineering and ISC (Procurement and Advanced Manufacturing Engineering) to ensure appropriate surveillance of the supply base ensuring their on-time delivery of material compliant to quality requirements. Enact systemic improvements that remediate the constrained supply chain. Partner with the E&PS program management leadership to deliver targeted training and measurement leveraging the program management skills assessment. Provide support as the E&PS SBU focal to the Aero PMO organization in line with their objective to review corporate and AT program management training and revamp this training to their latest standards. BS/BA/Master’s degree in engineering or business Knowledge of Agile methodologies and tool sets Lean Six Sigma certification and Agile certifications are a plus Aerospace & Defense industry experience is a plus Excellent leadership, managerial and communications skills with a track record of building and motivating high-performing teams. Strong understanding of program management, project engineering and supply chain management processes and best practices. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
