We have an exciting opportunity for a Programme/ Group Work Facilitator to join us at our Southampton service. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering our Foundations of Rehabilitation group work programme which is a platform for the delivery of desistance-oriented interventions and support. We have based this programme model on hope, resilience, and compassion.

 

Your focus will be on delivering and developing group/pod work programmes, such as Foundations of Recovery. You will work with other programme facilitators and professionals within your project to design and deliver groups/pods, using evidence based practice, covering the most appropriate issues to your service users.

Part Time Hours: Part time,18.5 per week

Salary: £27,449.52 - £31,529.41 (based on full time hours, paid pro rata for part time)

Responsibilities About the role:Research, design and prepare subject matter and materials for groups/podsEngage with debriefing and evaluations with co-facilitator/s after groups/pods have taken placeEngage people who have substance misuse problems and provide them with advice, support and recovery focused structured clinical interventions to support their recovery and primary health care needsLead on graduation events for service users who have completed the programmeTailor specific workshops around the needs of the SUs, such as: anger management, sleep disorders, relationships, etcReducing drug and alcohol related harm to service users and the wider communityWorking with service users to supportsocial (re)integration, enabling them to lead meaningful and purposeful lives: promoting recovery, resilience, peer support and self determination.Work and liaise with other agencies involved with the service user’s broader care plan
including health services, hospitals and GPs

 

About you:

Have a strong understanding of substance misuse issues and RecoveryExperience of working with groups/pods and managing group dynamics, such as
conflict or challenging behaviorExperience of Motivational Interviewing and Psycho Social InterventionsAbility to identify the specific needs of groupsBe an excellent communicator, both verbal and written with good IT skillsProactive and able to work on own initiative with excellent time management and prioritising skillsHave a good working knowledge of mental health interventions, services, and good practiceBe a supportive team player with strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work in partnership with a wide range of professionals, agencies, and internal/external stakeholdersAbility to manage change successfully in a way that prioritises the needs of service usersUnderstand the importance of information governance processes and commit to follow and apply all necessary safeguards
