Wood is recruiting for two Programme Managers to drive the performance, delivery and ensure best practise standards across the Project Management teams within our Systems Integration business in the UK.  

These are hybrid roles which can be based out of any of the following UK offices: Aberdeen, Glasgow, Northampton, Staines, or Reading.

The Role 

These are exciting opportunities to become part of the Project Leadership team and support in truly shaping and influencing the way we work in the EMEA SI, offering a value adding difference to the business and client base. We have a large rolling wave of pipeline work of greater than £50M per annum, with multiple high-profile clients across the Energy and automation sectors coupled with growth strategies to enter into market areas such as Pharmaceutical and the Middle East. Whilst competing in these competitive markets, we need to become ever more efficient, demonstrating high performance leadership skills, utilising digital tools and innovative processes to achieve our performance delivery targets. 

As we are looking for two Programme Managers; one will head up a large portfolio of projects for a key client over a long term contract, and the other will be responsible for a portfolio of smaller projects across multiple clients in key growth areas. 

Reporting into the Project Director for SI EMEA you will create delivery excellence across your business area, provide certainty and confidence to the client/project sponsor, and robust control of project scope, schedule, cost and risk.   

You will be responsible for leading the Project Management team across your area, accountable for delivering projects across multiple phases, to agreed specifications, for managing change and key in developing and maintaining excellent client relationships.  

This is an ideal opportunity for an experienced Project Management professional who is a motivational leader, with exceptional stakeholder management skills, proven Commercial acumen with specific working knowledge of delivering against NEC4 contracts, who is driven by working in a fast-paced environment with the anticipated levels of high-performance associated with a job profile of this nature.
