Programme Test Manager

Principal Test Practioner 

Location: Belfast

We are looking for a programme test manager to join our team and help deliver on our portfolio of testing projects.  Your role will involve providing specialist testing advice to our customers, delivering on that advice and be the single point of contact for multiple stakeholders for testing. 

You will be accountable for creating test strategy as well as planning and managing testing activities on applications or cloud infrastructure projects within a program or service. As a consequence of your testing activities you will supply stakeholders with the data they require advise them on making informed decisions in respect to solution or component suitability to progress to the next development stage or for release into production. 

You will also be expected to contribute to test estimation and other pre-sales activities as and when required.

We are looking for a programme test manager to join our team and help with delivering projects and engage in presales activity.  Your role will involve providing specialist testing advice to our customers, working on bids, carrying out discovery work, writing proposals and partnering with salespeople as the SME for testing. You will also be required to create test strategies as well as planning and managing testing activities on applications or cloud infrastructure projects within a program or service. As a consequence of your testing activities you will supply stakeholders with the data they require advise them on making informed decisions in respect to solution or component suitability to progress to the next development stage or for release into production.

 

You should have SC clearance.

 

Your experience

Experience in Data Migration testing (from a test management/approach perspective) would be beneficial. You can produce clear and unambiguous test strategies and plans that address project requirements and risks You are an excellent communicator and can deliver a message at all executive levels You have successfully managed and delivered all testing activities within a programme within budget and timescales You can inspire a team of leaders to carry your vision throughout the programme Familiar with range of testing tools and managing those with specialist testing skills such as automation and performance Experience with contributing to bids and testing standards You have worked and managed large test teams, in particularly an Offshore/Onshore model Technical experience preferably, SQL, Databases, Linux, UNIX, Windows all or a combination You have worked in a pre-sales capacity meeting potential customers in order to understand their needs You have been responsible for writing testing proposals both directly to customers and where testing is part of a larger bid You have carried out discovery work 

 

Duties

Be accountable for the planning and delivery of all testing activities within budget and timescale on a given programme Create test strategy and planning documentation using our business management system that address the requirements and mitigate the risks of the solution under test Organise test materials, environments, tools, and resources required to deliver the planned testing activities and co-ordinate the delivery of testing against a given schedule taking accountability and responsibility your programme of work  Ensure that test progress, risks and test incidents are reported in a timely fashion Undertake bid and pre-sales activities where appropriate Take online management responsibilities
