Job Title: Programmer Job Description This position is responsible for creating models, CNC programs, and designing fixtures for parts from customer-supplied blueprints. Additionally, the role involves designing and maintaining in-house developed drawings, as well as creating, maintaining, and updating detailed setup and work instructions for machine shop applications. Responsibilities + Follow jobs from inception to completion, including designing fixtures for parts, programming machines, and overseeing the manufacturing process. + Create models, CNC programs, and design fixtures based on customer blueprints. + Maintain and update detailed setup and work instructions for machine shop applications. Essential Skills + Proficiency in Mastercam and Solidworks. + Expertise in fixture design, GD&T, CNC programming, lathe programming, and lathe machine operations. + Associate's degree with at least 5 years of experience in Solidworks and Mastercam. + Experience programming machines in a metal fabrication environment, specifically lathe machines. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Thorough working knowledge of modern machine shop practices. + Ability to optimize CNC programs to meet estimated times. + Strong communication skills and a team mentality. + Preferred experience in Multi-Spindle Lathe or Swiss Programming. Work Environment + We are a full-service contract manufacturer of precision metal parts, primarily serving the defense sector. + Includes a team of 6 engineers. The work hours are from 7 am to 3:30 pm, and the dress code is business casual, including button-downs, khakis, and slacks. + Our machine shop is notably clean compared to other shops in St. Louis.
