Job Description The Bronx District Attorney’s Office is seeking a well-qualified staff whose diverse backgrounds reflect an ability to serve the over 1.4 million members of the Bronx County community and pursue a safer Bronx through fair justice. The Information Technology Unit is seeking a programmer to assist with web and client-server application development. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Collaborate with end users and team leads to understand and evaluate business requirements Design, develop, and implement applications / websites to support in-house business processes Conduct tests, identify errors, and resolve issues in applications Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and debugging Help with the software implementations by providing training and support for the staff who will operate and maintain the software/application Analyzing data to recommend improvements to existing systems or processes Gather and document system requirements, and follow Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) Agile/Waterfall methodologies to deliver code releases Provide production support and maintain existing systems by researching and troubleshooting any problems QUALIFICATIONS: Experience or familiarity with one or more of the following languages .NET, JavaScript, HTML/DHTML, SQL, React, Angular, Java; Microsoft Office Suite including Power Apps/BI. Knowledge of authentication protocols and methods. Excellent analytical, logical thinking, and problem-solving skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills . Understanding of project management principles and planning. Ability to exercise good judgment and strong ethics. Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills. Exhibit an ability to maintain confidentiality of information. Qualifications 1. A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college and two years of experience in community work or community centered activities in an area related to the duties described above; or 2. High school graduation or equivalent and six years of experience in community work or community centered activities in an area related to the duties as described above; or 3. Education and/or experience which is equivalent to "1" or "2" above. However, all candidates must have at least one year of experience as described in "1" above.
