The Designer provides services related to developing use case, software architecture, software analysis, and software design models using Unified Modeling Language (UML).
Years of Experience:
16 or more years of experience in the field or in a related area
The Designer is an individual who provides services related to developing use case, software architecture, software analysis, and software design models using Unified Modeling Language (UML). The Solution Developer is expected to be knowledgeable of the aspects of the software development lifecycle that relate to modeling. They are expected to be able to conceive and describe the static and the dynamic aspects of an existing software system, making use of all UML diagram types.
The Designer will be required to abstract user requirements and identify key domain objects which will be followed by the assembly of those objects into structures of a form that will support physical design at some later stage. These tasks will be performed using Object-Oriented analysis and design methods using the following steps for an existing production system:
• find the ways that the system interacts with its environment (use cases);
• identify objects and their attribute and method names;
• establish the relationships between objects;
• establish the interface(s) of each object and exception handling;
• implement and test the objects;
• assemble and test systems.
Requirements:
• Holding Bachelor Degree in Computer Science or related disciplines.
• 2 years experience with Enterprise Architect UML modeler.
• 5 years and above software development experience, of which includes
o 5 years solid experience in performing OOP analysis for large scale enterprise systems, and
o 5 years solid experience in system design and development role engaging in entire Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• At least 5 years of practical experience in an Object Oriented software development language, preferably in the Microsoft product line.
• Extensive experience in handling changing business requirements and conditions against a pre-defined scope of work.
• Knowledgeable and with practical experience in applying Design Pattern.
• Knowledgeable in SQL and Relation databases e.g. Microsoft SQL and IBM DB2
• Strong analytical mind and problem-solving skills.
• An effective team player, with the capability of working independently under high pressure to meet tight deadlines.
• Flexibility, creativity, deliberation, self-motivation, and a hardworking attitude are all important attributes to success in this role.
• Excellent communication skills with excellent command of spoken and written English.
• Have track records of academic/industrial achievements.
