Job Description:

Harps Food Stores, Inc. is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Programmer Analyst Intern to join our team on a part-time basis. This is a paid, hourly position designed to provide college or university students currently enrolled in a Computer Science program with hands-on learning opportunities. The internship offers a chance to gain valuable experience in software development, analysis, and problem-solving within a collaborative and supportive environment.

Responsibilities:

·        Analysis: Assist in gathering and analyzing business requirements to create technical specifications.

·        Development: Contribute to the design, coding, and testing of software applications, tools, and scripts that support business operations.

·        Testing: Participate in testing and debugging processes to ensure the quality and reliability of software solutions.

·        Documentation: Help create and maintain technical documentation, including system overviews and user guides.

·        Collaboration: Work closely with senior developers and business stakeholders to understand challenges and provide technical solutions.

·        Learning: Continuously develop programming and analytical skills by working with new technologies and solving real-world problems.

Qualifications:

·        Education: Must be currently enrolled in a college or university program pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.

·        Programming Skills: Successful completion of Programming Foundations II and either Data Structures or Algorithms is required.

·        Analytical Thinking: Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze and translate business needs into technical solutions.

·        Database Knowledge: Basic understanding of SQL and database management concepts is a plus

·        Communication: Effective verbal and written communication skills to interact with team members and stakeholders.

·        Adaptability: Willingness to learn and explore new technologies and tools.

·        Teamwork: A collaborative mindset and ability to work effectively as part of a team.

·        Attention to Detail: Strong focus on accuracy and quality in work.
