Programmer/Analyst-Senior
Description

Summary:

The Programmer Analyst develops and modifies complex technical computer software. They meet project deadlines to insure satisfactory function of the software. 

Duties and Responsibilities:

Frequently work with outside vendor representatives and technical teams that interface with internal applicationsWill be in a on-call rotation supporting applications 24/7Provides technical support to programming and operations areas.Works with other systems programmers to develop, install, modify, and maintain the operation system, software products and/or subsystems for network management, performance, and capacity management.Leads the testing, debugging and modifications of software applications and validates their efficient use and integration.Supports complex computer software such as utility programs, job control language, macros, and subroutines.Provides technical advice on the operating system and subsystems including performance monitoring and measurement activity.

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree5+ years of knowledge and experience with Visual Studio, .Net, and C#Prior work with remoting into servers for troubleshooting​

Preferred Qualifications:

Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills5+ years knowledge and/or experience in a Windows and UNIX environmentUnderstanding of job schedulers to create jobs including tasks and processes.Knowledge/experience with version control practices and version control toolsGood understanding of IT system administration best practicesGood understanding of JVMsGood understanding of Oracle and SQL databases and writing queriesComfortable with at least one type of shell scripting (Power Shell,KSH, Bash, Perl, WLS, etc.)Understanding of System change control processes.Ability to balance both development and support roles.Experience in working on projects that involve business segments.Strong interpersonal skills, focus on customer service, and the ability to work well with other IT, vendor, and business groups.Excellent communication, design, documentation, analytical, and SDLC skillsZena experienceProviding production support for vendor applications with experience in installing, maintaining, and managing multiple applications/systems.Experience using monitoring tools like Dynatrace, Zenoss, Splunk, and log files to evaluate the health of mission critical production applications and to identify root causes for performance and functional issues.
