**Job Description** BAE Systems under the High-Performance Computing Modernization Program Integrated Technical Services Contract II (HITS-U II) directly supports the DoD s High-Performance Computing Modernization Program (HPCMP) mission. We deliver world-class commercial, high-end, high-performance computational capabilities to the Department of Defense's (DoD s) Research, Development, Test and Evaluation (RDT&E) community at the DoD Supercomputing Resource Centers (DSRCs). Currently we are seeking **Applications Analyst or Programming Analyst** to support the Army Research Lab (ARL) DSRC located at the Aberdeen Proving Ground Maryland.The selected Analyst will provide a high degree of technical support and professionalism to the research communities of the ARL DSRC. This includes, but is not limited to, helping researchers debug code, suggest areas of optimization within code, and job submission procedures to successfully meet their High-Performance Computing (HPC) research requirements. Respond to complaints, requests, troubleshooting, etc. The selected candidate should also be able to diagnose and resolve computational technical problems which are most often of a complex nature, associated with computer hardware and software. Utilize a wide variety of skills and software tools regarding computing on large-scale systems: not limited to but including scripting and automation, network distributed services, storage and backup, and software problem diagnosis and resolution. Install, configure, maintain, and support computer software (COTS, GOTS, and open source), which may include network environments or software upgrades in accordance with specifications, and perform testing as required. Develop and maintain documentation, including configuration changes, as needed. This position also assists in the implementation of new technology both on Supercomputers, HPC Clusters and in the infrastructure, machines used to maintain the clusters. **Required Education, Experience, & Skills** + **Bachelor in Computer Science, Physics, Chemistry, or related field and 8 years experience** + Knowledge and experience with the Linux Operating Systems, preferably on a large scale (100 servers) environment (Cray, IBM, HPE,...). + Experience with High-performance storage and clustered filesystems (e.g. GPFS, Lustre) + Experience with Singularity a plus + Knowledge of HPC scheduling Software such as either SLURM, PBS, LSF, or Condor + Knowledge of HPC Parallel libraries (MPI, OpenMP) + Experience with High-performance computer interconnects (e.g. 10 and 40 Gigabit Ethernet, InfiniBand) + Fluency in one or more programming languages a plus (e.g. C, Fortran, Python, PERL) + Must know at least one scripting language such as Bash, Csh, Ksh, ... **Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills** + **Master or PhD in Computer Science, Physics, Chemistry, or related field and 4** + Some archival storage knowledge + Some knowledge of GPGPUs + Ability to perform benchmarks for both cluster hardware and software performance + Knowledge of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning (AI/ML) frameworks **Pay Information** Full-Time Salary Range: $130355 - $221603 Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures.
