Job Description

FIS Management Services, LLC seeks Programmer Analyst Specialists in Jacksonville, FL to design, code, test, implement, maintain, and support applications software that is delivered on time and within budget. Work closely with customers, business analysts and team members to understand business requirements that drive analysis and design of quality technical solutions ensuring alignment with business and IT strategies and complying with FIS architectural standards. Provide application software development services or technical support typically in a defined project. Develop program logic for new applications or analyzes and modifies logic in existing applications. Code, test, debug, document, implement and maintain software applications. Maintain, test, and integrate application components. Make recommendations towards the development of new code or reuse of existing code. Ensure system improvements are successfully implemented. Demonstrate an understanding of FIS systems and the financial services industry. Analyze requirements and translate business requirements into product designs. Write technical specifications and other forms of documentation. Suggest technical alternatives and improve/streamline processes and systems. Complete project assignments and special projects commensurate with job expectations. Conduct planning, analysis and forecasting activities to plan projects and tasks. Participate in component and data architecture design, performance monitoring, product evaluation and buy vs. build recommendations.

REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or related field and six (6) years of progressively responsible experience in the job offered or a related occupation: providing application software development services and technical support in a defined project; developing program logic for new applications; analyzing and modifying logic in existing applications; coding, testing, debugging, documenting, implementing, and maintaining software applications; maintaining, testing, and integrating application components’ providing recommendations towards the development of new code or reuse of existing code; ensuring system improvements are successfully implemented; analyzing requirements and translating business requirements into product designs; writing technical specifications; suggesting technical alternatives and streamlining processes and systems; and conducting, planning, analyzing, and forecasting activities to plan projects and tasks.
