About the role:
DUAL North America, Inc. is seeking an Intern to join the team. We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as an Insurance Technology Summer Intern. This position will require hands on code development, application form design, documentation, unit testing, and troubleshooting of defects and issues that arise in the existing application software.
Expectations for this position include developing technical and analytical skills to conduct code analysis and perform testing of code changes.

Essential Functions:
Support application software using the Java development language and the DocOrigin forms development tool
Work within a software development life cycle
Work with other developers and business analysts to translate requirements and develop functional code into deliverable solutions
Troubleshoot and resolve operational problems in a timely manner
Work in both Kanban and Scrum Agile environments
Continually improve processes and solutions, seeking ways to use new tools, features, and capabilities
Job Requirements (education, experience, skills):
Course work towards a college degree in computer science, software development, or a related field
Course work in object oriented programming, Java, JavaScript, HTML, or XML
Exposure to database technology and basic SQL queries
Sound technical and analytical skills
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
