Position Overview: We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Progressive Care Nurse to join our exceptional team, specializing in advanced surgical and acute care. In this pivotal role, you'll provide comprehensive care for patients recovering from surgical procedures and managing acute conditions, ensuring their safety and comfort during this critical recovery phase. Key Responsibilities: * Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care for post-operative and acutely ill patients, including those with arterial lines, tracheostomies, and on ventilator support. * Administer and titrate medications as ordered, demonstrating proficiency in managing complex medication regimens and enhancing patient outcomes. * Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including surgeons, neurologists, pulmonologists, and respiratory therapists, to develop and implement individualized care plans. * Continuously monitor vital signs, lab values, and overall patient conditions, promptly identifying and addressing any changes or concerns. * Educate patients and their families on postoperative care, recovery expectations, and strategies for maintaining health post-discharge. * Engage in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of best practices in progressive care nursing. **Job Summary** We’re looking for positive, compassionate, hardworking registered nurses (RN) who can provide the high-quality care patients and families have come to expect from us. We take pride in giving you the necessary skills and tools to succeed in your goals throughout your career. **Responsibilities** * Plans and coordinates patient care, assessment, education, triage and various other nursing interventions * Collaborates with colleagues, including physicians, to plan, implement and evaluate care * Empathetically cares for patients during all stages of preventive services, health maintenance, diagnosis, treatment and follow-up along the continuum of care * Demonstrates competency and uses comprehensive nursing expertise **Qualifications** Graduate from an accredited nursing program required, including, but not limited to, American Association of Colleges of Nursing (AACN), Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN), and National League for Nursing Commission for Nursing Education Accreditation (NLN CNEA). Bachelor’s Degree in nursing preferred. Currently holds an unencumbered RN license with the State Board of Nursing where the practice of nursing is occurring and/or possess multistate licensure if in a Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) state.
