Program Summary & Responsibilities 

The Progressive Pathway Program is a program for students seeking an early career program that will enable their professional development by providing opportunities to contribute to best-in-class work that plays a role in innovative business developments at HomeServe while working alongside some of the best and brightest minds across our industry. The Progressive intern will embark on a progressive and meaningful career within HomeServe USA.

After successfully completing an application and interview process, the Progressive Intern will join HomeServe for a 10-week internship starting in May. During their first summer, the Progressive intern will prepare to be an ideal HomeServe team player and employee by fully immersing themselves into learning the HomeServe business, culture, and specific areas of focus that complement their major by spending time shadowing actual operations of the HomeServe USA business.  

During their second 10-week internship starting the following May, the Progressive interns will return to HomeServe utilizing their knowledge of HomeServe and classroom practice to fully participate in their newly selected areas of focus. The Progressive intern will regularly meet with their Progressive Pathway Supervisor to support one or more experience teams in performance of assignments and have unique assignments that support larger projects as well as the day-today operations of their department. The Progressive intern will also be assigned a Pathway Manager and Peer Buddy to help them navigate the HomeServe business.

Revenue Management  Cyber Security Automation & AI Accounting Corporate Planning & Finance 

Essential Functions:

Roles and Responsibilities will vary by HomeServe USA department but may include the following:

Gained knowledge of the industry as it pertains to HomeServe USA. Experience in planning and organizational skills. Review of current department program activities to make recommendations for changes/improvement opportunities. Perform other duties as assigned. Detailed roles and responsibilities will be outlined dependent on the business group. The Progressive Intern will be expected to work full-time at 30-40 hours/week and will be compensated on an hourly basis.

 Position Competencies: 

Student must be 18 years of age by the start of the summer internship assignment Student must be enrolled in an accredited university working towards a Bachelor’s Minimum GPA requirement of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale in their major, 2.7 overall Strong verbal and written communication skills Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment

Computer Skills & other requirements: 

Competency in MS Windows, MS Word, and MS Outlook Intermediate Excel knowledge Strong analytical, verbal, and written communication and interpersonal skills Well organized, detail-oriented with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines while managing multiple concurrent tasks Strong work ethic and willingness to take ownership Ability to work independently Ad-hoc responsibilities as assigned

Work Environment: 

Office Employee: Work is performed primarily in office 5-days a week. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to low in office settings.
