HDR is hiring a Project Accountant 2 for our Charlotte, NC office.

In this role, we will count on you to:

Work autonomously on client invoicing, collections management and project budgetingCode and process accounts payable, work confirmations, charitable contributions, P-card charges, etc.Accurately comprehend, administer and maintain contract documentation, including fee and budget entryWork with section and project personnel to provide timely contract performance data and resolve financial issuesCoordinate the project accounting system within the department and work with technical staff to ensure compliance with contractual requirementsAssist multiple project managers and staff daily Mentor junior project accountants as neededPerform other duties as needed

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting

Required Qualifications
Associate degree in a closely related field or combination of education and relevant experienceA minimum of 5 years of experience; an advanced degree may offset years of experienceFamiliar with Earned Value Management Excellent verbal and written communication including grammar, punctuation, proofreading, spelling and telephone skillsFlexibility and ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and collaborate with various managers in a fast-paced environmentSelf-motivated, well-organized and detail-orientedAbility to handle confidential informationProficiency with MS Office including Word and OutlookAn attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must
