Job Summary: The Project Accountant is responsible for managing all financial aspects of ongoing projects. This includes tracking project budgets, expenses, and billings to ensure financial integrity and accuracy. This role works closely with the project management and operations teams to support compliance with company policies and client requirements. Job Duties: + Track and report project costs, budgets, forecasts, and cash flow + Review project billings and ensure proper revenue recognition + Review project-related expenses and allocate costs appropriately + Coordinate with project managers to analyze budget-to-actual performance + Assist with month-end close, including journal entries and reconciliations related to projects + Maintain accurate and up-to-date project accounting records + Ensure contract compliance and documentation support for project invoicing and audits + Collaborate with operations, purchasing, and finance to ensure accurate job cost accounting + Monitor accounts receivable and assist with collections as needed Requirements Minimum Qualifications: + Associate’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field required + Three plus years of accounting experience, preferably in a project-based environment required + Strong analytical skills and attention to detail required + Proficiency with accounting software and Excel required + Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines required + Strong communication and interpersonal skills required + Ability to pass physical, drug, driving, and background check required + Ability to physically push, pull, and lift 25 lbs or more required + Ability to sit, stand, stoop, bend and walk for four plus hours at a time required + Alignment with company core values required Preferred Qualifications: + Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field preferred + Experience in manufacturing or construction accounting preferred + Familiarity with project management and ERP software preferred Benefits + Medical, dental, vision, HSA, term life, AD&D, STD, LTD + 100% medical premium paid for by Panelmatic for the employee-only level medical coverage + 80% paid for by Panelmatic and 20% paid for by the employee on all other level medical coverage (i.e. employee plus child, employee plus spouse, family) + 401K and bonus + Scholarships, educational reimbursement, paid volunteerism, and paid personal and professional development provided + PTO and paid holidays provided + Career advancement opportunities + Competitive wages + Family-friendly environment with average employee tenure above five years
