Project Accountant

**Overview**
Kimley-Horn is looking for a Project Accountant to join our Raleigh, NC Office. Participating in initiatives to improve processes for our growing technology practice
**Responsibilities**
+ Monthly financial analysis and on-going revenue recognition of specific software development projects, ensuring accurate cost/budget tracking, billing, and financial reporting.
+ Managing the billing and invoicing processes for software solutions, including preparing invoices, tracking revenue, and ensuring payments from internal and external users
+ Coordinate with software team to develop processes for tracking software usage and subscription/license fees
+ Review financial reports for various stakeholders
+ Meeting multiple critical deadlines on a monthly basis
+ Track and maintain purchase orders related to various internal software projects
+ Prepare invoices and complete monthly billing
+ Coordinate and pursue receivables
+ Occasional travel may be required
**Qualifications**
+ 4+ years of experience in Software and/or Project Accounting
+ Bachelors or Masters Degree in Accounting, Finance or related degree
+ Solid understanding of accounting fundamentals
+ High degree of professionalism and strong people skills
+ Must be an excellent team player
+ Strong knowledge of Excel and Word required
+ Experience using computerized accounting systems
+ Knowledge of intercompany accounting processes preferred
