Hiring for a Project Accountant
Must Have Qualifications
+ 2+ years of project accounting
+ experience with month end, billing, journal entries
+ HS Diploma or GED required
+ MS Office Suite
+ Experience working within the construction, engineering, or related field
+ Experience in project accounting, specifically managing projects of $100 million or more.
+ Strong knowledge of general ledger and reconciliation processes.
+ Experience with billing and subcontractor payments.
Responsibilities
· Manage the A/R entry and processing function
· Manage release of Sub-Contractor payments
· Prepare monthly billings
· Maintain Billing Analysis Data & Reporting
· Set up and maintain job contracts and subcontracts in the accounting system
· Assist with end of year Financial Audit
· Support Special Projects and Reporting Requests
· Assist in developing workflow process improvements
· Perform all full charge bookkeeping functions for a Joint Venture
Essential Skills
+ Experience in project accounting, specifically managing projects of $100 million or more.
+ Proficiency in Procore or Jonas Software.
+ Strong knowledge of general ledger and reconciliation processes.
+ Experience with billing and subcontractor payments.
Work Environment
Our work environment fosters a strong sense of family among team members. This is an in-office role requiring attendance five days a week. We are a woman/minority-owned business with a family feel and are involved in several key projects in Chicago!
