We have an immediate opening for a motivated individual who can effectively support project accounting needs for various groups within the company. In this Houston-based position, the Project Accountant will have the following responsibilities:

 

Responsible for accurate project set up according to the terms of the executed contractProcess monthly billingResponsible for reviewing weekly timesheets and expense reportsResponsible for vouchering vendor invoicesWorks directly with Project Managers to monitor and analyze project financial management through the life cycle of projectsResponsible for maintaining accounts receivable including coordinating with project managers, clients, and the AR Manager to ensure timely paymentsMaintain electronic project filesParticipates in annual peer review audit of project files

 

Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance is preferredMinimum of 2-3 years of experience in an accounting roleAccounting experience in the Design/Engineering/Construction industry is a plusProficiency in computer software, including MS Office Suite, and practical experience working with financial databases. Experience with BST10 is a plusDemonstrates a strong commitment to client service with the ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectivelyWorks well in collaboration with others and is self-driven
