Job Description
Your main tasks will include project billings/invoices, reviewing federal contracts, supporting month-end processes, and running project financial reports. Quality assurance and quality control on invoices will also be part of your duties.
ResponsibilitiesReview and post timesheets.Prepare labor reports.Maintain project billing and contract files.Ensure that subconsultant invoices are coded properly and approve payment of invoices.Prepare monthly project invoices to clients.Record cash receipts and payments.Prepare subconsultant agreements and client agreements.Monitor accounts receivable and make calls on past due invoices.Accurately enter and maintain proposal and project information in the accounting system.Maintain adequate record keeping.Work with project managers to address challenges.Essential Skills4+ years of experience in project accounting.Experience in the AEC industry (Architecture, Engineering, Construction).Proficiency with Deltek ERP systems.High School Diploma.Strong attention to detail and self-monitoring for accuracy.Experience handling $400-500K gross billing per month.Additional Skills & QualificationsBachelor's degree (preferred).Effective communication skills with subcontractors and project managers.Work Environment
Our Client is a 65-person company with offices in Denver, Carbondale, and Las Vegas. They work on a wide range of projects including parks & recreation, schools, playgrounds, urban design/planning, public facilities, infrastructure, and streetscapes. The Denver office comprises about 25 people, with a 4-person accounting team. The work environment is highly team-focused, offering schedule flexibility with core hours from 9 AM to 3 PM, and on Fridays from 9 AM to 1 PM. Any hours worked over 42 hours per week are banked for PTO. The company is located in the South Broadway area, making parking easier than downtown. They also have a solid leadership development plan and offer growth opportunities, profit sharing, and ownership opportunities as an ESOP after one year of employment.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $33.65 - $36.05
