Project Accountant
**Description** **Job Duties** + Establish the billing format for client approval, prepare billings in conformance with the terms and conditions of the contract, input invoice information into accounting system. + Extraction and analysis of project costs across various categories such as labor, materials, and overhead as well as verify accuracy with the Project Management team. + Compile backup for billing documents. + Assist the Project Management Team with accurate forecasting of estimates and monthly billing accruals based on historical data and other factors. + Assist pre-construction team in analysis of historical data to produce accurate estimates for Fee + General Contractor bids. + Assist with project audits. + Develop and maintain positive working relationships with the construction project team(s) and stakeholders. + Generate and provide COIs to all clients or other third parties as needed. + Utilize system to track and manage all customer COIs and renewal dates, ensuring timely follow-up for expiring policies. + Perform other duties as assigned. **Skills and Attributes** + Understanding of Cost Plus and\or Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP) contracts is a must. + Demonstrates strong analytical and problem-solving skills. + Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with project teams and stakeholders. + Attention to detail and accuracy. + Proficiency in Excel and familiar with accounting software (Viewpoint experience a plus). + Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines. + Exercise a high degree of confidentiality while maintaining various employment records and other sensitive information for the company. + Ability to work independently and as part of a team. **Minimum and Preferred Qualifications** + Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance (or equivalent). + 3-5 years’ experience with the construction industry. + Experience working with critical deadlines.
