We are searching for innovative Project Architects with experience in Hospitality and Multi-family Residential projects, and/or Workplaces for technology, sciences, and manufacturing clients.
What You Will Do
Lead architectural deliverables on projects, working with Design Director(s), Technical Director(s), and project team(s) for all project phases, including conceptual designs, schematic design, design development, construction documents and construction administration
Lead consultant team(s)
Lead project team(s)
Knowledge and understanding of regulatory agencies and jurisdictional processes
Collaborate with design team, clients, consultants, contractors, fabricators, regulatory agencies and other vendors to meet overall project objectives
Work hand in hand with the Design Manager and Design Director for the best project outcomes
Resolve complex design issues with innovative and practical solutions
Assist in managing client expectations
Manage team communication and consultant coordination
Contribute to office activities, initiatives and learning programs
Advance the understanding that design resilience is a responsibility of every person at Gensler
Cultivate design expertise with the desire to always learn, grow, and evolve
Mentor Junior Staff
Your Qualifications
Licensed Architect (U.S.)
12+ years of relevant architecture experience
Revit Level 3+ or other BIM experience highly preferred
Knowledge of materials, construction techniques and building codes
Strong knowledge of the design process
Strong leadership, organizational, communication and relationship-management skills
Flexibility to focus on concurrent projects in various stages of development
Ability to communicate design ideas and direction quickly
A quick learner with an ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment
Creative Initiator that brings curiosity, enthusiasm and a “can do” attitude
Demonstrated commitment to sustainability and sustainable building practices;
Strong computer skills, including use of Microsoft Schedule and Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe Creative Suite
Bachelor’s or Master's degree in architecture or related field
