Project Assistant - Environmental

Job Description
Rhode Island based, rapidly growing, environmental firm is seeking an experienced, reliable, and task-oriented Project Assistant (PA) to join their team. Job Summary:
SAGE PAs provide essential support to the company principal, senior project managers, environmental scientists (project managers and junior scientists), other staff (i.e., drilling professionals and accounting staff) and SAGE clients in accomplishing both complex and general tasks, as needed.
PAs draft reports, compile report appendices and produce correspondence including, but not limited to; routine status reports, reliance letters, and environmental assessments (e.g. Phase I’s, Limited Subsurface Investigations, Site Investigation Reports, UST Closure Assessments, Remedial Action Work Plans, soil disposal applications, Environmental Land Use Restrictions, Soil Management Plans, Public Notices, etc.).
PAs transcribe field notes and/or data into digital SAGE format to create supporting documents such as boring logs and Excel tables/spreadsheet, etc. PAs organize and track down any missing information/data from science staff, as needed.
PAs also assist project managers in managing Sites through the Rhode Island Department of Environmental Management (RIDEM) and/or Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection (MassDEP) regulatory system in order to keep the project on schedule and receive necessary signatures and/or RIDEM/MassDEP approvals.

Responsibilities:Draft, review, finalize and distribute environmental reports (Phase I ESAs, Limited Subsurface Investigations, UST closure applications and reports, soil disposal applications, routine status reports)Review historic files/regulatory documents at RIDEM and online via MassDEPProduce/send public notices via USPS certified mailCreate Boring logs in Strater®Receive, review and QC laboratory data from laboratories and make accessible to science staffUpdate historic tables/graphs as data is receivedData entry/field note transcription (Word & Excel)Prep and update PowerPoint presentationsProvide GIS backupOrder miscellaneous office/field suppliesOrder and maintain inventory of stationary, business cards, shirts, sweatshirts, gear bag suppliesOversee office equipment maintenance (scheduling & tracking/calendaring)Arrange for field equipment repairs (send out via FedEx or UPS)
Requirements:Strong Microsoft Office skills, especially Microsoft ExcelPrevious Environmental/Technical Writing experience (Preferred)
Job Type: Position is full-time, Monday-Friday, 8:00 am-5:00 pm or 8:30 am-5:30 pm
Education:Bachelor's Degree

The expected salary range for this position is listed below. The base range may be adjusted based on the specific location of the applicant. Final agreed upon compensation is based upon individual qualifications and experience.
Minimum $55900 - Maximum $78200
