As the Project Assistant (https://drive.google.com/file/d/1nRxsWonSiolBiy38HiCQH2Fls37tQhi2/view?usp=sharing) , you’ll play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of the President’s Office, serving as a first point of contact for faculty, staff, students, and external stakeholders.
What You’ll Do:
+ Calendar management, scheduling of meetings and all administrative requests of the President.
+ Guest reception and being the first point of contact for the President’s Office via telephone, email and in-person connections.
+ Provides direct support to the President.
+ Performs tasks and responds to inquiries that are diverse, requiring knowledge and skills in a variety of areas, such as campus level programs, policies and procedures. Prepares and maintains data and records related to activities, events and projects in the Office of the President.
+ Composes, edits and reviews a variety of standard and/or specialized correspondence, files, reports, documents, applications, forms, memos, and/or other applicable materials.
+ Oversees office suite and conference room management and is the primary facilities maintenance contact.
+ Oversees technology and telecom needs for the team.
+ Provides support to the Director of Planning and Administration as directed.

Located on our Portland campus, this full-time position will pay $20.84/hour (non-negotiable) for a new hire or the appropriate transfer rate for a current employee with the University of Maine System. This is a confidential, non-rep hourly position.

Required Qualifications:
+ Three years of administrative support experience, or 60 credits or more of higher education with equivalent work experience and training
+ Experience with and enthusiasm for administrative work related to community and civic engagement, undergraduate general education, transfer and articulation, on-line learning or related fields.
+ Understands the importance of keeping an office "running smoothly" and enjoys all aspects of administrative specialist responsibilities.
