Beacon Hill Financial is looking for an organized and detail-oriented Project Billing Specialist to join a local client in Richmond, VA. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and overseeing the billing processes for multiple projects, ensuring accurate and timely invoicing, and working closely with project managers, accounting, and clients to maintain the integrity of project financials. This role is fully-in person at our client's Richmond office.

Key Responsibilities:
Billing & Invoicing: Prepare and process project invoices based on contract terms, including progress payments, milestones, and change orders.
Collaboration with Project Managers: Work closely with project managers and teams to gather all necessary billing information, including completed work, progress status, and related costs.
Billing Documentation: Ensure all billing documentation is complete, accurate, and submitted in a timely manner, adhering to project schedules and contractual obligations.
Client Communication: Communicate with clients regarding billing inquiries, disputes, and payment status, working to resolve any discrepancies efficiently.
Compliance: Ensure all billing practices follow company policies, industry standards, and legal requirements.
Record Keeping: Maintain organized records of all invoices, contracts, and payment receipts for auditing purposes and financial analysis.


Qualifications:
Experience: 2+ years of experience in project billing, construction accounting, or a related field.
Knowledge: Strong understanding of project billing procedures, contract terms, and financial reporting.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, Procore) and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel).
Attention to Detail: Excellent organizational skills with an ability to track multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills for interacting with clients, vendors, and internal teams.
Problem-Solving: Ability to identify and resolve billing discrepancies or issues promptly and effectively.
Team Player: Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including project management, accounting, and operations.
