Job Summary

This opportunity is open to current PSEG employees only.

his is a "Project" position designed to support project work for a limited duration. While the exact duration of the project is yet to be determined, we currently anticipate a period of 3-5 years based on business needs at the present time following which you will separate from the Company. It is important for you to understand that this period may be shortened based on business needs in the future at which point you will separate from the Company. It is also important for you to understand that this employment is of a limited duration and that you will not be entitled to separation benefits under any PSEG plan at the time you separate from the Company. Director Level approval and waiver will be required for you to bid on other PSEG opportunities within the first 3 years of assignment. From year 4 through the end of your assignment, Director level approval and waiver will not be required. If your assignment ends prior to the anticipated timeframe based on business needs, you will be allowed to bid on other PSEG opportunities without Director level approval from the time you are notified your assignment will be ending through the end date of the assignment.  

Provide technical/analytical support for all aspects of electric division operations including business processes and workforce /personnel issues related to operational effectiveness. Provide analysis for division projects and systems.

This position will report to Southern Division (Moorestown) and Central Division (Somerset) on a regular basis.

Job Responsibilities

 

Coordinate/analyze personnel and performance related information for the division work force of 400 + bargaining unit and 50 + MAST associate. Function as clearing house for division staffing activity and works directly with hire management and the staffing department. Custodian of service and seniority lists. Compose all manner of workforce correspondent/letters to respective unions, other Company departments and external entities. Collect division data, analyze results and develop reports using spreadsheet software, SAP, DWMS, Positive Discipline and AIMS. Train others on systems usage. Maintain data and system integrity and handle sensitive and confidential matters. Interpret/adhere to BEW and OPEIU contracts. Support division management on contractual and personnel issue such as availability, discipline and other contractual items. Process owner of bargaining unit items, DOT/RSPA testing pools, internal and external Track 269 OSHA forms and bargaining unit appraisals. Maintain employee files, medical/drug files, and CDL records. Process bargaining unit wage progressions, transfers, and movements in Empower. Support the Business Continuity Plan by creating and providing various reports (emergency contacts, LAN ID's, employee information).
 

 

Job Specific Qualifications Essential:  High School Diploma Proven ability to handle sensitive information in a confidential manner Strong working knowledge of Electric Division Operations, strong/advanced computer skills including proficiency in existing business systems and databases - SAP, Positive Discipline, AIMS, DWMS and all Microsoft Office applications Proven organization and scheduling skills/Internet/Intranet communications and research; document preparation, storage and retrieval, customer service and public relations Working knowledge of IBEW and OPEIU contracts Demonstrated excellent communication and team building skills Organization and scheduling; Internet/Intranet communications and research; document preparation, storage and retrieval, customer service and public relations Must possess and maintain a valid drivers license   Desirable: College degree in Business or related area Education High School in High SchoolDisclaimer
