Project Change and Dependency SME

Job Description

We are currently seeking an experienced Change and Dependency SME to join our Project Management Office (PMO) team.

In this role you will be responsible for managing change and overseeing project change requests and dependencies across a critical and complex Cybersecurity program

You will ensure that project changes are effectively assessed, governed and implemented while maintaining alignment with business objectives, project timelines and interdependencies.

This role is critical in identifying, tracking and mitigating risks associated with change requests and project dependencies to optimise delivery efficiency.  

About the Cybersecurity GRC Team

The Governance Risk & Compliance team is an exciting and growing area of cybersecurity which  ensures that State Street maintains a strong cybersecurity posture by aligning with regulatory requirements, industry standards and internal risk management frameworks.

What you will be responsible for

Change Management

Establish and maintain a structured approach to managing change requests (CR’s) within the PMO framework.Assess the impact of CRs on project scope, timeline, resources ensuring proper evaluation before approval.Work with Project Managers,  Enterprise Process Owners and governance forums to review, prioritise and approve/reject Change Requests.Ensure Change Requests follow appropriate governance workflows, including impact assessment, stakeholder approval and implementation trackingMaintain a centralized change log and ensure transparency in decision making.

Dependency Management

Identify, map and manage project and program dependencies, ensuring alignment across workstreamsCollaborate with project managers and the planning team to track dependencies in project plans and ensure they are accounted for in risk assessmentsProactively assess dependency related risks and recommend mitigation strategiesFacilitate discussions with teams to resolve conflicts related to interdependent workstreams

Governance & Reporting

Ensure change requests and dependency risks are escalated and managed through the appropriate governance channelsProvide regular reporting to the Program Director on change request trends, dependency impacts and key risksMaintain compliance with PMO Standards

Preferred Qualifications

5+ years of experience in managing change requests within large scale programsStrong understanding of PMO governance, project lifecycle, change control, and risk management frameworks.Strong analytical skills with the ability to synthesize complex information into actionable insights.Proficiency in project management and tracking tools such as Jira Clarity, ServiceNow or equivalentCertification in Project Management (e.g., PMP, Prince2, SAFe) or Change Management (e.g., APMG, PROSCI)Experience in regulated industries such as financial services is a plus

Salary Range:

$120,000 - $187,500 Annual

The range quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate would ultimately work outside of the primary location above, the applicable range could differ.
