Foth is currently undergoing exciting growth in our Des Moines, IA office.  We are seeking a team-focused and results-oriented Project Civil Engineer eager to be a significant contributor to the design of civil infrastructure projects.
Growth, safety, and aging infrastructure – these are all challenges faced by nearly every community today.  As a member of the  engineering team, you will help clients meet these challenges while minimizing impacts to the community and the environment.  From airports to utilities, roads, and bridges, you will be a part of providing effective solutions that are cost-conscious and practical.Primary ResponsibilitiesProvide engineering support for roadway and transportation projects with municipal or DOT clientsAssist in the planning, design, and construction administration of transportation projects Complete feasibility studies and technical design reports Coordinate roadway design project plans with associated utilities Attend client project meetings, participate in proposals/presentations, manage projects, meet with regulatory agencies, and serve as a client project contact  Lead, coordinate and build teamwork among other team members and disciplines at all levels Demonstrate eagerness to learn new areas of engineering  Required Qualifications:Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related field Professional Engineer License in Iowa or ability to obtain license within 12 months of start date  Minimum of 4 years related experience in urban and/or rural roadway design, MicroStation (including Corridor Modeling), working with relevant permitting agencies/processes, completing technical reports and design projects  Preferred Qualifications:Professional Engineer License in Iowa5+ years of experience to include a combination of municipal design, urban arterial and/or rural roadway design, public utilities design (stormwater, sanitary, drinking water), pedestrian/bicycle facilities designProficiency in Open Roads Designer (ORD)Working in the engineering consulting industry  Why Foth: Established Reputation: With over 86 years of experience, we are proud to be 100% member-owned.Dynamic Culture: Benefit from a values-based, client-centered, and flexible work environment, with ample professional growth opportunities and supportive colleagues, contributing to our impressive 92+% member retention rate.Challenging Projects: Engage in diverse and exciting projects that promote continuous professional growth and development.
