PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES
As Technical Project Manager you will become a key member of our global Cross-Engineering Governance team who will contribute to ensure our division’s Services, Products, and Tools are compliant with SAP Corporate Requirements, Software Development Policies and Technology Guidelines. Working with multicultural and multidisciplinary teams and colleagues, across several continents, you will assist our Program Lead and team with the planning, guiding, and implementation of the onboarding of Global Cloud Infrastructure and Delivery (GCID) Software Products and Tools to the SAP Innovation Cycle.
A significant part of the work will require being involved in the mechanics of managing and tracking onboarding activities across 10 GCID business units. In many instances, you will be responsible for onboarding solutions to our Product and Production Management System (PPMS), working closely with Product Owners.
Additionally, you will become a member of the SAP Program Management Community to stay abreast and aligned on all areas of the SAP Innovation Cycle and SAP’s Quality Management System in relation to Product Development.

Captures opinions and expectations of stakeholder and communicates them to the program team. Communicates a clear vision of the program/project objectives and motivates the team to achieve them. Outstanding organizational, communication, interpersonal, relationship building skills conducive to team development; able to work well in a cross-functional setup with globally dispersed teams.
WORK EXPERIENCE
1 to 2+ years in solution development background. Experience in Project Management with a track record of successful product deliveries. Experience with Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD). Experience and knowledge in Scrum/Agile development philosophies. Ability to work independently in a multicultural and multidisciplinary team setup. Competence conducting project planning activities and managing the execution of projects per plan including product standard compliance planning, security, and GDPR. Knowledge tracking and monitoring deliverables and creating transparency on execution status. Expertise managing relationship with stakeholders, internal and external, keeping stakeholders informed of progress and issues, managing expectations and stakeholder’s satisfaction.
EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS
University degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, a degree in a technology field, or equivalent proven knowledge and proficiency is required. 1 to 2+ years of experience in project management in various contexts such as software development and/or solution implementation. Languages: Business-level English (written and spoken) is a prerequisite, German language proficiency is a plus but not mandatory. Exposure to Public Cloud technologies (Amazon AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google GCP) as well as traditional on-prem hosting. Understanding of DevOps methodologies and discipline. PMI, Six Sigma, or equivalent certification is a plus, though not mandatory.

To further strengthen the Business Delivery Excellence (BDE) group, part of Global Cloud Infrastructure and Delivery (GCID) under the Consumer Services & Delivery (CS&D) board area of SAP, we are searching for a proficient Technical Project Manager who is customer focused and interested in working closely with development managers, product owners, and development and engineering teams within our global unit as well as with SAP product teams in other areas of the organization.
GCID is the Cloud Infrastructure Product Unit of SAP, and the custodian of all infrastructure spend for both our own SAP Private Cloud offering as well as our Public Cloud partnerships.
KEYWORDS:
Innovation Cycle: SAP process framework for Cloud, On Premise, and Mobile product and solution creation, with an end-to-end view from idea generation to market. It covers all product-related activities from the first idea of a product to release and maintenance.
PPMS: The Product and Production Management System (PPMS) is the central knowledge repository for technical information on SAP software components and software products and the foundation for more than 100+ internal and customer tools, services and (SAP corporate requirement) processes.
Sirius: tool for program management and quality assurance, which enables multiple parallel or subsequent deliveries in one program.
