Project Controller

Job Description

Fugro, a global company, with presence in 60 countries, is looking for a Project Controller to join the team in Oslo, Norway. Applying innovative solutions, we conduct geotechnical, geophysical, and environmental surveys, in the marine segment. We have a strong presence both within old and new energy markets and are eager to develop this further.

We have an experienced project management team and want to extend the team with a Project Controller.

Key tasks & Responsibilities

Conduct financial evaluations of projects, collaborating closely with Project Managers and Business controller.Report and advise on project financial performance, including revenue recognition, cost performance, schedule performance, productivity, leakage, and contract risk.Generate and manage monthly financial forecasts and work-in-progress reports.Provide financial oversight of projects within Marine Geophysics, delivering accurate and timely financial information to Service Line business controller.Support project -budgeting, -forecasting, and -reporting requirements, ensuring compliance with contracting requirements.Implement and drive the monthly project reporting and review process with Project Managers.Support the Business Controller.Provide additional support as required by the Business Controller, Regional Service Line Controller, or Service Line Management Team.

Position requirements

We are looking for a Project Controller with the following qualifications:

Degree qualified in a relevant discipline or equivalent vocational qualifications and experience.Relevant project experience with a strong affinity for financial topics, project risks and excellent MS Excel skills.Experience in project management accounting, budgets, and analysis.Excellent communication skills across all organizational levels (finance, business management, operations).Experience with offshore operations is an advantage.Embrace change and support others in adjusting to new ways of working.Persistent and proactive in pursuing financial project information needed to control projects.A team player with well-developed analytical skills and a high degree of accuracy.Fluent in English and Norwegian, both written and oral.A high degree of initiative and attention to detail are essential.Able to keep pace with short deadlines and high workload at times.Work permit in Norway is a requirement.Newly graduated candidates are also encouraged to apply.
