Your role and responsibilitiesIn this role, you will drive all financial activities within single large project, in this case specific to Ports Electrification. Acting as a business partner to the Project Manager, supporting all financial and commercial matters and actively driving the project's performance. Also, ensuring the success of the project and delivery of the committed gross margin.This role is a temporary position for 3 years project.Position is located in the Netherlands in Rotterdam office.The work model for the role is: hybrid #LI-hybrid You will be mainly accountable for:• Advising on financial aspects, supporting negotiations, and managing risk reviews.• Providing financial input to the Project Execution Plan.• Handling project accounting, invoicing, and compliance with ABB’s revenue recognition and (USGAAP) policies.• Optimizing cash flow, revenues, and gross margin with the Project Manager.• Overseeing currency risk, bonds and guarantees and tax issues. • Participating in opportunity/risk identification as well as achievement of opportunities and mitigation of risk in project execution.• Having a joint responsibility with the Project Manager for all financial aspects.• Supporting the Project Manager in coordinating and preparing monthly/ quarterly project reviews. Participating in preparing the project cost report. • Verifying the substance for cost to complete and keeping the required auditable evidence.• Promoting commercial awareness and manage claims, back-charges, and insurance cases.• Ensuring adherence to corporate governance and perform required project controls.
Qualifications for the roleTo be successful in this role, you will need to have over 5 years of project controlling experience from marine or industrial side. Bachelor's Degree in Accounting/ Finance or Business related areas. You are experienced working with SAP or ERP. Ability to navigate complex projects. Proficiency in Dutch language is needed. Good analytical, communication and leadership skills You are self-driven. Ability to work with very tight deadlines. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
