Position OverviewKiewit Power Delivery is seeking a Project Controls Intern. As a Project Controls Intern you will learn to support the administration of business aspects of an assigned project, including troubleshooting project conditions and scheduling with estimates through project completions, analyzing, monitoring, and maintaining the projects’ progress, you’ll prepare and analyze reports, develop alternative solutions, and be a key team member in driving successful project completion. In this role you will learn basic P6 and Power BI reporting functions.

LocationThis position is based in our Lenexa, Kansas office.
Responsibilities Develop resource loaded schedules, including lists of activities, major milestones, critical approvals, long lead procurement items and other critical project deliverables to be scheduled and tracked for the project. Develop and maintain schedule logic and constraints, realistic activity durations, available manpower, and resources. Provide scheduling analysis for delays and impacts to identify and mitigate project risks. Assist in the management of internal controls including implementing new process controls, measuring the project’s performance, reporting on project status, and ensuring the integrity and validity of internally and externally disseminated information. Gain and apply knowledge of engineering, procurement, and construction terminology to develop and maintain critic path logic networks and accumulate/access historical data for use in maintaining realistic future planning and forecasting. Provide guidance, direction, and specialized assistance for the resolution of difficult project control problems. Collaborate effectively with various project teams, field personnel, and clients to create accurate reports and achieve goals under deadline. Attend regular meetings and give statistical reports as needed. Qualifications• Currently pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in construction management, engineering, or related field
