About being our Project Controls III \n

As our Project Controls III, you will join the Los Angeles World Airports (LAWA) project team of 40+ planners, architects, engineers, and other technical professionals to plan & design their next wave of capital investments, including airfield improvements, terminal improvements, infrastructure improvements, and more.\n
\n

Responsibility Highlights for our Project Controls III \n\nReview project work activities to ensure support of project milestones\nDevelop micro-phasing schedules as required to coordinate particularly challenging work phases; and help coordinate the various parties to completion\nParticipate in discussions with designers, contractors and other third-party entities to proactively identify project risks; and develop recommendations as to how to mitigate the risks\nParticipate in reviewing the contractor pay application; and ensure it is consistent with the schedule update and other progress documents\nCoordinate cost recording, monitoring, and reporting practices for compliance with applicable standards accuracy and consistency\nCoordinate development of schedule resource loading and leveling; and the schedule development, maintenance and monitoring activities\nProvide progress reporting documents and briefing materials as required\nDevelop creative reporting tools to communicate complex project sequencing and\/or progress assessments\nResponsible for promptly reporting budget and\/or schedule variances\n\n

Minimum Qualifications to be our Project Controls III\n\nBachelor's degree in engineering, project management, business or other related field\n15 years + project controls experience\nExperience on a large-scale aviation-related project \nDemonstrated project controls experience managing the design and construction of large-scale, complex projects, including developing and managing a progress reporting methodology for a complicated design effort\nDemonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office suite and Adobe Acrobat \nProficient with industry software such as Expedition, etc. \nPossess understanding and appreciation for time frames necessary including BHS, Special Systems, Power, HVAC and other aviation related disciplines\n\n

Preferred Qualifications for our Project Controls III\n\nExperience with Primavera Project Planner Version 6.0 \nExperience with large-scale construction management type software such as Prolog \nExperience with Design-Build and Construction Management at Risk delivery methods \n\n
