Kimley-Horn currently has an exciting opportunity for a Project Controls Lead with experience managing Transit projects to join our Twin Cities team.

Responsibilities Develop, oversee, monitor, and support the work of staff and subconsultants, particularly in project controls over the following areas:Cost estimating, budget development, and monthly cash flow projectionsProject schedule development and management Monitoring and reporting on budgets and schedulesManaging document control systemsDeveloping grant applications for Federal, State, & Local funding sourcesAssisting clients with administering grants and completing grant specific reportsDeveloping and implementing management plans and procedures in accordance with FTA requirements and guidanceAnalyzing and prioritizing projects for funding Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in Public Administration, Business, Engineering, Planning, Construction Management or a related program5 years of relevant industry experienceStrong written and oral communication skills with the ability to write clear reports and communicate findingsAdvanced knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)Strong sense of urgency and self-initiative to meet client deadlinesHigh attention to detailCritical thinking and analytical skillsDetail-oriented team player with an ability to contribute to a positive work environmentAbility to work independently and as a team

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in the rail and/or transit industry,Experience with FTA Capital Investment Grant (CIG) projects and/or other federal agencies (eg: FHWA)Experience with project scheduling software (such as Primavera P6)Experience in grant writing, administration, and management Why Kimley-Horn?
