Jacobs Project Management Company is seeking a Project Controls Professional Associate for the Oakland, CA office.
Responsibilities:
Develop, report, and manage schedule data for portfolio of assigned projects. Extract schedule information from reporting systems and analyze data to report on status of the project. Identify root cause of schedule variances and partner with the program managers to define future spending in justifiable terms. Lead schedules rebase line activities as needed with the lead scheduler and PM’S concurrence. Participates in and lead project level schedule review meetings (tier 3 workstream meetings) Advise project manager of change orders with schedule impact. Participates with management in development of strategies and creates plans and updates P6 schedules. Perform quality control and quality assurance of project schedule. Adjust the variances and crash schedule as per technical project requirements to balance the schedule timeline normalize it from over budget/ underbudget & over schedule or under schedule. Respond to all unifier workflow requests in a timely manner. Validate contractors’ project schedule accuracy. liaison with contractors scheduling resources. Actively participate in and identify scheduling process improvement initiatives". Work with gas transmission workstream managers & leads to develop, progress, & report weekly on a loaded schedule representing the program's plan in primavera p6. Maintain unifier work authorization data, mark EDRO in sap & perform project order closeouts & actualizations. Maintain & update weekly environmental release sheet, baselines, GHG reports etc, improve processes in scheduling team in collaboration with program managers.
Telecommuting/Hybrid schedule is allowed.

REQUIREMENTS: This position requires a master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Construction Management or related field and 1 year of work experience in job offered or a related occupation. In Lieu of the requirements listed above, employer will accept a bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Construction Management or related field and 3 years of work experience in job offered or a related occupation.
SPECIFIC SKILLS: Expertise/ knowledge of: Construction Management - managing RFIs; risk analysis; contract management; financial analysis; Evaluating manpower, labor hour, and labor cost requirements versus budget limitations including preparation of variance analysis; monitoring project schedules. Understanding technical work scope of Construction project. Cost Analysis, Budgeting, Cost forecasting. Project Controls and Scheduling Software - Ariba, Primavera P6, Advanced Microsoft Office, ProjectWise, Microsoft Project, NavisWorks Construction Project Administration & Project Scheduling. Experience in the gas transmission industry.
