Role description: Supports PMs and OEA teams with project control activities encompassing the elements of schedule, risk, budget, and resource management to improve project delivery and to standardize OEA ways of working.
Collaboration
Collaborate across OEA lanes in maintaining an effective Project Controls Framework, including cost, schedule, and risk monitoring. Work collaboratively with PMs (including cross-functional PMs where necessary) to support and challenge project control activities. Engage with vendors in managing procure-to-pay (P2P) activities. Work closely with Finance and GSSC on OEA budget, cost, and reporting.Project Controls activities
Supports ensuring project control activities are in place and operating across OEA projects which includes scheduling, resourcing, and risk management activities. Helps in monitoring project progress to increase predictability on OEA activities, pro-active project risk management, and improve cost efficiency. Monitors costs with the end goal of keeping projects within agreed budgets. Engages with PMs in keeping project documentations and processes are standardized across lanes. These include, amongst others, setting up and maintaining project folders, Smartsheet schedules, reports, and dashboards. Supports in ensuring P2P in OEA aligns with agreed processes including contracting, PR/PO, invoicing, and payments. Role models an organized way of working within OEA.Project Oversight, Management & Controls
Initiate and participate in calls/discussions with PMs and other stakeholders and ensure project controls are at the top of their agenda. Challenge the current ways of working suggesting a clear path to improvement. Implement Smartsheet as the leading tooling for project control activities. Guide PMs in applying OEA project methodology and project controls within their project management activities Initiate improvements/efficiencies in the project control domain.Key Shared accountabilities
Partnership with PMs, lanes, and cross-functional teams to achieve OEA budget tracking, reporting, and management. Project planning and delivery with PMs. Co-create Project Controls Framework, internal processes, and SOPs within OEA with O&Q Director. Standardize OEA ways of working with Orchestration teamQualifications & Experience:
Minimum of 3 years experience project controls activities on (multidisciplinary) project teams, preferably within a global tech environment. Has the ability to collaborate (and influence) with different stakeholders, develop and manage processes, mitigate risks, and control quality to achieve positive outcomes. Has the ability to effectively manage (indirectly) resources across teams.
