Project Controls Specialist

Role Description 

Assist the Project Controls Advisor in the execution of Cost Controls and Scheduling responsibilities such as the following: 

Driving adherence to the IDM Project Controls standards across all projects; Scheduling, Budgeting, Cost Controls, Purchasing. Deliver CI into project controls processes/standards. Creating initial project controls (cost/schedule/cashflow) for projects in preparation for project initiations, RFPs and execution.  Creating and maintaining benchmarking data for both Cost and Schedule. Creating and maintaining SharePoint content to support the project team. Standardization of project controls tools. Other duties as assigned by the Projects Controls Advisor. 

Skills Required 

Comprehensive experience in project management, cost controls, planning and organization. Knowledge and experience with capital delivery processes for projects, including purchasing, project forecasting, budget management, and change order management within the construction, facility, pharmaceutical or biotechnology industries. In-depth working knowledge of MS Excel. Proficiency in MS PowerPoint, Word and SAP. Ability to use P6 or Microsoft, Visio and Power BI. Capacity to multitask and prioritize multiple assignments within designated timeframes. Competence in developing and maintaining cost reporting tools. Effective verbal and written communication abilities. Extensive background and problem-solving capability in project management. 

Education & Experience Requirements 

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, or a related field is required.  At least five years of professional experience with facility, construction or manufacturing financial and scheduling controls. Experience with controlling large projects (>$10MM). Experience in financial controls & scheduling in the implementation of capital equipment and molding operations projects. (automotive, packaging).

Actual compensation will depend on a candidate’s education, experience, skills, and geographic location.  The anticipated wage for this position is

$64,500 - $167,200

Full-time equivalent employees also will be eligible for a company bonus (depending, in part, on company and individual performance).
