Job Title: Project Controls Specialist
Job Description

As a Project Controls Specialist, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining project schedules and forecasts using Oracle Primavera P6 and other project tools. You will support Earned Value Management (EVM), progress measurement, and variance analysis, and prepare drafts of monthly progress reports. Additionally, you will track and ensure compliance with contract requirements and use processes and tools established on projects.

ResponsibilitiesDevelop and assist in the preparation of schedules.Prepare various reports and demonstrate an understanding of project control tools.Assist in schedule baseline and schedule update reviews.Assist in cost estimate development and review.Provide support with development, monitoring, and execution of constructability/bid reviews, construction schedule, schedule impact analysis, contract change/work order, project risk analysis, project records and contract administration.Manage project information, including hard-copy and electronic files.Coordinate information flow between the project team and the client.Attend project meetings and prepare detailed minutes of meetings.Develop presentations based on input from project team members.Prepare new project start-up documents per project and quality procedures, including the development of schedules and level of effort estimates.Perform other duties as needed.Essential SkillsProficiency with Oracle Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, Microsoft Office Applications, and Adobe Acrobat.A minimum of 2 years' experience in project coordination with a consulting/engineering firm.Strong oral and written communication skills.Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.Ability to coordinate and prioritize multiple long- and short-term tasks simultaneously.Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.Additional Skills & QualificationsLocal candidates preferred.Engineering consulting background is beneficial.Work Environment

This is an in-office role based in Midlothian, with time split between the corporate office and client sites in Richmond, VA. The role requires attendance 5 days a week, with occasional travel required. Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Midlothian, VA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $55.00/hr.
