POSITION SUMMARY:

This position provides financial support for capital projects and supports all aspects of the project life cycle including budget, costs, change orders, project scope, estimates, schedule, assets, wbs creation, etc. This position will support multiple capital projects simultaneously.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Participate in development of cost control documentation and maintaining project metrics throughout the duration of the project.Apply cost control and other analytical techniques to quantify financial performance and projections.Responsible for coordinating with the project teams to develop and maintain Work Breakdown Structures (WBSs), cost, cost forecasting and schedule baselines, and Estimates at Completion (EACs). Work with Fixed Assets and Project Manager to determine assets to be created prior to AFE execution.Responsible for ensuring project is included in the approved annual capital budget, or identify different available funds to shift prior to submission.Responsible for ensuring project is appropriately classified prior to obtaining approvals for funding (Growth Capital, Maintenance Capital, Expense) by working with the project manager and Fixed Assets.Support Engineering and Maintenance Teams on all capital projects.Develop cost tracking sheets for each capital projectEnsure costs are being allocated correctly to project cost codes and assets.Recognize and alert Project Managers on cost issues and assist with developing project revisions when required.Work with Project Managers and vendors to accurately forecast project costs on a monthly basis; add comments to Nvision monthly when submitting forecasts or when in-service dates change.Submit monthly accruals to Fixed Assets group.Ensure operationally complete dates are accurate and updated each month.Role will be actively involved in the project life cycle from inception to close out.Assist project managers with PO and invoice issues when needed.Continuously work to build strong relationships and rapport with various departments including Accounting, Procurement, Land, Business Development, Engineering, and others to ensure all costs are being captured and reported accurately.
