Project Controls Specialist

The Project Controls Specialist II (PCS-II) is a cost-focused role within the Regulated & Renewable Team for one of our large energy companies. The candidate will manage up to 25 projects in three different organizations. This role involves routine and complex project control tasks, including estimating, change analysis, and cost control, supporting Project Managers and Business Unit Managers.
Responsibilities:
Develop and generate daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports. Gather, verify, validate, and analyze data for reporting. Distribute and archive reports and present them as needed.
Track, trend, and initiate actions for changes in project scope, schedule, and cost. Analyze change requests, gain approval, and distribute them in compliance with internal standards.
Lead benchmarking and self-assessment initiatives. Summarize and communicate improvement opportunities, adopt best practices, and address performance gaps.
Interpret project schedules to determine cost impacts. Assist in Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) development, cost estimates, cash flow tracking, and change control documentation. Perform variance, earned value, and critical path analyses.
Work with Project Managers to create and manage project cost estimates, ensuring they include all necessary materials, labor rates, and industry data.
Maintain effective relationships with customers, resolve quality issues, and complete assignments. Display proficiency in conflict resolution and achieving win-win outcomes.
