Project Controls Team Leader

The GSS Project Controls Team Leader is responsible for the ongoing development of project controls processes. This role is focused on all project controls ERP systems. Responsible for service level agreements review. Lead major improvement programs, streamline current processes, drive standardization and optimization of newly transitioned processes (also using previous experience). Supports Project Management Leadership Team with initiatives as required. Works as a people manager. Task-based contract.


Key Responsibilities:

Reviews data entered to ensure completeness and accuracy Accomplishes tasks by completing related results as needed Provides input on data collection that optimize efficiencies and data quality Provides input on design and development of a standard set of SAP templates  Analyzes and interprets data to ensure a high level of accuracy, timeliness, and usefulness  Process improvement identification and implementation Prepares and deliver internal trainings Leads ad hoc projects, meetings, calls etc. Creates and update job aids to align with current process Supervises and coordinate specialists Provides training for project management community Develops subject matter experts Mentors team members as needed Participates in internal and external audits Identifies data issues and collaborate with EPMO group to drive data governance Identifies gaps in current data entry processes and drive strategic solutions for stakeholders needs Leads major projects Supports Project Management Leadership Council to drive process improvements Provides technical expertise and guidance for project controls processes Holds thorough and extensive knowledge of project controls principles, corresponding processes Acts as a people manager: creates development plans, performance objectives Holds team meetings, 1-2-1 meetings and ad hoc meetings with subordinates Motivates the team to deliver high quality service Allocates work across the team Participates in team capacity planning and in the recruitment process Responsible for onboarding new team members Internal client facing role (calls, presentations to internal stakeholders both from the business and EPMO) Responsible for team's service delivery according to SLA's Maintains team’s attrition level according to the annual objective

 

 

Qualifications: 

B.A., B.S. in Business or Computer Science     3-5 years of global experience Knowledge of Westinghouse and the industry Proven track record with respect to knowledge of financial processes, controls, and associated improvement programs A general understanding of Westinghouse systems and data quality needs Excellent communication, presentation, and leadership skills Ability to operate effectively in a team environment. Strong organizational skills and ability to set priorities, manage time and multi-task Ability to show initiative, good judgment, and resourcefulness Detail oriented with a problem-solving mindset and ability to meet deadlines and be results oriented Desire to produce accurate, high-quality work with attention to details Proficient in SAP PS, MS Office, and other software packages Flexibility and adaptability to adjust to changing project needs in evolving situations Continuous improvement mindset Process driven with focus on quality Business acumen People management skills
