We carry over one million industrial, material handling and business products that are sold through our website, corporate sales people and full color catalogs. We are constantly increasing our product offerings to meet the diverse and changing needs of our customers. Our customers include small to large corporations, institutions, government agencies and consumers across North America.
Key Responsibilities
+ Support and coordinate process improvement initiatives from ideation to successful completion, ensuring seamless customer and internal communication.
+ Track and monitor the progress of process improvement projects across multiple departments within Global Industrial, ensuring alignment with strategic goals.
+ Collaborate effectively in a diverse, multicultural environment to meet business objectives and drive innovation.
+ Demonstrate technical expertise in internal processes and tools, facilitating communication of innovative ideas aligned with the overall Global Industrial strategy.
+ Develop and nurture partnerships across departments to ensure smooth project execution and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
+ Coordinate projects of moderate complexity, working closely with key business partners and leadership to define requirements and establish clear project timelines.
+ Operate with urgency and efficiency, ensuring timely completion of projects and initiatives.
+ Exhibit strong attention to detail, ensuring all aspects of project coordination are meticulously handled.
+ Cross-train with other team members across departments to ensure business continuity and versatility.
+ Remain available to work overtime, including weekends, as necessary to meet project deadlines.
+ Adhere to all safety standards and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Competencies and skills
+ Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
+ Experience with Salesforce is a significant advantage.
+ Strong verbal and written communication skills, demonstrating timely follow-up, accountability to deliverables, and openness to feedback.
+ Proven ability to develop and maintain strong cross-functional relationships, fostering collaboration and driving results.
+ Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining accuracy, completeness, and sound judgment.
+ Experience in coordinating key tasks effectively and ensuring accountability within project teams.
+ Capacity to manage workload efficiently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines consistently.
+ Excellent organizational and time management skills.
+ Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities.
+ Familiarity with working in global environments, understanding of cultural nuances, and the ability to adapt to international project requirements.
Preferences:(Preferred attributes for the position, if any)
+ Prior experience working in global teams or multinational environments.
+ Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies.
+ Familiarity with CRM platforms, data analytics, and reporting tools.
